What you might have missed from Thursday in Misano

MotoGP

Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli set the pace on the opening day of the San Marino Grand Prix, with the factory Yamaha duo leading the way in both FP1 and FP2 at Misano.

Quartararo was quickest in the morning session, 0.175 seconds clear of Morbidelli, with Maverick Vinales third, Francesco Bagnaia fourth and reigning world champion Joan Mir completing the top five.

The afternoon session was a closer affair, with Morbidelli edging out Quartararo by just 0.015 seconds. Bagnaia was again third, ahead of Mir and Vinales.

Moto2

Remy Gardner set the pace in a wet FP1 session, with the Australian rider 2.559 seconds clear of Fabio Di Giannantonio. Augusto Fernandez was third, ahead of Jorge Navarro and Marcel Schrotter.

The conditions were much drier for FP2, and it was Raul Fernandez who set the fastest time, 1.120 seconds clear of Di Giannantonio. Gardner was third, ahead of Navarro and Schrotter.

Moto3

Niccolo Antonelli topped a wet FP1 session, with the Italian rider 2.799 seconds clear of championship leader Pedro Acosta. Deniz Oncu was third, ahead of Romano Fenati and Tatsuki Suzuki.

The conditions were much drier for FP2, and it was Andrea Migno who set the fastest time, 1.351 seconds clear of Antonelli. Acosta was third, ahead of Suzuki and Fenati.
